Why UV-C

A well-established mechanism, applied with autonomous precision

Ultraviolet-C light in the germicidal range, centered near 254 nanometers, has long been used in water treatment, air handling, and surface disinfection because of its ability to disrupt the genetic material of microorganisms upon direct exposure. The physics are established; the engineering challenge is delivery — reaching the surfaces that matter, for the right duration, without exposing people in the room.

That delivery problem is what Deleflu is designed to solve: pairing UV-C output with autonomous navigation and occupancy sensing so that irradiation is targeted and interruptible, rather than manual and uneven.

What Deleflu does

An autonomous platform, not a fixed fixture

Navigation

Maps and moves through a room autonomously, positioning for consistent coverage of high-touch and high-risk surfaces rather than a single fixed emission point.

Safety sensing

Occupancy and presence sensing are built into the control logic, so the system is designed to halt UV-C emission if a person enters the treatment zone.

Dosing logic

Exposure time and positioning are governed by the platform's control software rather than left to manual timing, aiming for repeatable, documented disinfection cycles.

Regulatory status

Built in step with FDA and EPA review, not ahead of it

FDA: Deleflu is the subject of an active FDA Pre-Submission (Q-Submission) intended to clarify device classification and the applicable regulatory pathway. Deleflu has not been cleared or approved by the FDA, and no claims of clinical efficacy are made pending that review.

EPA: UVClean USA LLC's assembly facility in Richardson, Texas is registered as an EPA pesticide-producing establishment (Establishment No. 97437) under FIFRA. This registration pertains to the production facility, not to a determination of product efficacy.
